EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- A choir director who allegedly started a sexual relationship with a young church member faces two felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Nathan St. Pierre was being held tonight in the Vanderburgh County Jail in Evansville on a $25,000 cash bond. He was due to be arraigned Monday.
The 25-year-old St. Pierre attended Evansville’s Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Police say the relationship with the 14-year-old girl started in early May and ended earlier this month.
The police affidavit says the girl told investigators she and St. Pierre had sexual intercourse 15 to 20 times.
The girl’s mother found a diary detailing the relationship and brought it to the church’s pastor. The Reverend Mike Bebout is St. Pierre’s father in law.
