BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) -- A teenage girl has drowned in the Colorado River along the Bullhead City shore, authorities said.
The victim is 17 and was from Laughlin, Nev., said Larry Tunforss, Bullhead City Fire Department spokesman.
Witnesses reported that the victim was in the Colorado River with two other girls at Davis Camp near the Laughlin casino district. The three were swimming and pushing a raft back towards the beach when the two girls noticed the other girl was missing.
Divers from the Bullhead City Fire Department and the Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department responded and searched the river, Tunforss said.
The victim was located Sunday evening, an estimated 2 1/2 miles south of the Davis Camp Beach.
