TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- A couple and their 8-year-old daughter were found dead inside their home on Tucson's west side in an apparent triple homicide.
Tucson police spokesman Sgt. Fabian Pacheco said investigators believed the family was targeted, adding "we don't feel this is random." He declined to comment on the cause of death, or a possible motive.
The victims were identified as 44-year-old Francisco Javier Tanori Marin; his 40-year-old wife, Raphaela Pereda Felix; and their young daughter, Tania Guadalupe Tanori Pereda.
The bodies were discovered around 7:30 p.m. Sunday by the couple's teenage son, who Pacheco says had gone to the home near West Speedway Boulevard and North Greasewood Road after being unable to get in touch with his family all day. The teen doesn't live at the home, says Pacheco.
