Poster contest targets graffiti
08:17 PM MST on Friday, January 12, 2007
A contest wants kids to put art on a poster and not the sides of buildings.
The City of Tucson is offering elementary, middle and high school students the chance to design a Graffiti Free Community poster.
The poster will be used to promote the message to keep graffiti out of local communities. The winning entry takes home $100.
Posters must be at least 11” by 17” but no larger than 14” by 18”.
Different types of art mediums are encouraged.
All entries must be received by the City’s Department of Neighborhood Resources, 320 N. Commerce Park Loop, Sentinel Building, by 4 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2007.
Winners will be announced on Thursday, March 1, 2007.
