PHOENIX (AP) -- Twenty-two sex offenders have been arrested on suspicion of various crimes, ranging from failing to register within Arizona to committing sex-related offenses.
Operation Safe Treat went from Tuesday to Thursday and involved more than 65 law-enforcement officers from 19 agencies throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
U.S. Marshals said Thursday that among those arrested was Manuel Molina, who is believed to be an unregistered sex offender living in an apartment in Tempe.
Molina was wanted in Cochise County and St. Cloud, Minn., on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender.
Molina could face additional charges for failing to register in Maricopa County, federal authorities said.
