FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- Residents of Flagstaff and surrounding areas awoke Tuesday morning to snow.

The National Weather Service says a late spring storm dumped 2 to 11 inches of snow in the area by midmorning.

It had issued a snow advisory until noon, but lifted the advisory about two hours early, saying the threat of additional significant snow accumulations had ended.
