Coins from the initial run of the Arizona quarter fall into a catch bin below the press during a ceremony at the U.S. Mint in Denver on Friday, May 16, 2008.

DENVER (AP) -- Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano and two other state officials are in Denver to stamp their state's first commemorative quarters.

Napolitano was joined by Republican Rep. Jerry Weiers of Glendale and state Treasurer Dean Martin at the ceremony Friday morning at the Denver Mint.

The tails side of the coin shows a Saguaro cactus in the foreground and the Grand Canyon. The images are joined by a banner with the date of Arizona's statehood - Feb. 14th, 1912.

This is the third commemorative quarter issued by the Denver Mint this year and the 48th overall. The quarters are issued in order of statehood.
