Phoenix man shot dead after answering his door

PHOENIX -- One man is dead after being shot in his apartment near 40th street and Baseline.
Phoenix Police say that someone knocked on his apartment door late Thursday night. The man answered the door and was shot 4 times. He was transported to the hospital but later died.
The gunman was seen running from the scene by witnesses and then drove away in a small truck. The name of the apartment complex where the man was shot is the Sterling Point Apartments.
