Illegal immigrants found in Tucson home
02:03 PM MST on Thursday, July 24, 2008
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities investigating a Tucson home for possible drug activity found more than 20 illegal immigrants inside, including three children.
Sgt. Mark Morlock says authorities knocked on the front door late Wednesday, at which time several people tried to jump out of windows and run out of a back door.
Morlock says all were caught and turned over to Customs and Border Protection. The illegal immigrants were from Mexico.
He says the Border Patrol will take over the investigation to determine who owned the home and who had been renting it in recent weeks.
