An 84-year old man suffering from Alzheimer's disease was reported as missing to Tucson Police, but it didn't take them long to find him.

Sgt. Mark Robinson says Joseph Salcido was found after he apparently caused an accident at the westside intersection of Anklam and Silverbell Roads and left the scene.

He was found about two blocks away. Robinson said he was dazed and disoriented. Robinson said the police department has initiated steps to take Salcido's drivers license away from him.

Police had put out a request to try and find the man after his family said he left for the post office at 10 a.m. this morning from his southside home near 36th Street and Mission Road but hadn't been seen since.

Police had reported Mr. Salcido suffers from memory loss and dementia.

Robinson said the family supported the police efforts to revoke the man's drivers license.
