MIR ALI, Pakistan (AP) — Two Pakistani intelligence officials say a suspected U.S. missile strike has killed three alleged militants in the Pakistani tribal area of North Waziristan.

They told The Associated Press that a missile hit a vehicle in the Datta Khel area on the Afghan border Monday evening. The area is dominated by the Haqqani network, a militant group battling U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were authorized to release the information.
