VIENNA (AP) — Iran says it won't respond to pressure or threats after the U.N. nuclear watchdog voted to censure Tehran for its defiance over its nuclear program.

The International Atomic Energy Agency board resolution demands Tehran immediately mothball its newly revealed nuclear facility and stop uranium enrichment.

Iran's chief representative says his country will resist "pressure, resolutions, sanction(s) and threat of military attack."

Iran insists its nuclear program is peaceful while the United States and other nations believe Tehran's goal is to create nuclear weapons.

The IAEA resolution had the backing of 25 of its 35 board members, including six major powers -- the U.S., Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany. It was a rare measure of unity since Moscow and Beijing have acted as a drag on efforts to punish Iran.
