DHAKA, Bangladesh (AP) — Authorities say at least 46 people are dead after an overcrowded passenger boat collided with a ferry in northern Bangladesh.
Police say the ferry hit the overloaded boat. All the casualties were from the passenger boat.
There was no damage to the ferry. Police are questioning the ferry's crew.
The accident occurred a week after a triple-deck ferry sank in southern Bangladesh. At least 83 people died in that accident.
