ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan, a two-time winner of the Super Bowl, has reportedly met with the Buffalo Bills to discuss their head coaching vacancy. ESPN.com says Bills chief operating officer Russ Brandon met with Shanahan in Denver on Monday night and Tuesday morning. Shanahan has been out of football since being fired as Broncos coach after last season.

CINCINNATI (AP) — Cincinnati running back Cedric Benson is expected to practice this week and might be able to play Sunday against Cleveland. Benson missed last weekend's 20-17 loss in Oakland with strained hip muscles.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH'-lihs-bur-gur) has practiced despite sustaining a concussion in last Sunday's game with Kansas City. He's expected to play in Baltimore this Sunday. He shared snaps today with second-year quarterback Dennis Dixon.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Cavaliers center Shaquille O'Neal won't be playing in tonight's game against the Pistons in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Cavs' big-man is missing his sixth straight game with a shoulder injury.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Royals have traded infielder Tug Hulett to the Boston Red Sox for cash or a player to be named. Hulett, who was claimed off waivers by the Royals from Seattle last offseason, had been designated for assignment last week by the Royals.
