Germany's Geisenberger wins World Cup race

IGLS, Austria (AP) — Natalie Geisenberger has led a German 1-2-3 sweep at a women's luge World Cup race, and world champion Erin Hamlin of the U.S. finished ninth.

Geisenberger set a track record in her first run on Saturday and finished in a combined time of 1 minute, 19.229 seconds for her fourth career title.

It was the 92nd women's World Cup race in a row that was won by a German.

Tatjana Huefner trailed Geisenberger by 0.053 of a second, while Anke Wischnewski was 0.060 back in third.

Hamlin was 0.629 seconds behind Geisenberger.

The men's doubles race was scheduled for later Saturday.
