INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) — Mike Brown isn't placing restrictions on Delonte West, although Brown won't start him Tuesday night against Washington.
West made his debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers during Saturday night's 90-79 win against Charlotte, scoring 13 points in 24 minutes.
It was a turbulent offseason for West, who has battled bipolar syndrome. He could still face a league suspension for misdemeanor weapons charges against him in Maryland. Last week, his wife filed a domestic violence report against him.
Brown said Monday he is "definitely going to go with what we have right now," meaning Anthony Parker will continue to start and West will continue to come off the bench.
