Locker questionable to face Bruins

SEATTLE (AP) — Washington coach Steve Sarkisian says quarterback Jake Locker is questionable for Saturday's game at UCLA with a deep thigh bruise.

But the Huskies star quarterback says he expects to be playing when the Huskies try to win at UCLA for the first time since 1995.

Locker was injured in the first quarter against Oregon on Oct. 24 when he took a helmet to his right thigh on a third-down run. Sarkisian said last week his play-calling was limited due to Locker's injury in the Huskies' 43-19 loss.

Locker didn't practice last week during Washington's bye and did only minimal work on Sunday when the Huskies reconvened.

Sarkisian says it will be a balancing act this week giving Locker the needed reps to test his thigh but not pushing him to the point of possibly aggravating the injury.
