BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Cleveland Browns running back Jamal Lewis hasn't changed his mind about retiring after this season.

Lewis said Wednesday he still intends to call it quits at the end of this season, his 10th in the NFL. He announced his decision following Sunday's 30-6 loss in Chicago, leading some to wonder if the 30-year-old was speaking from frustration and emotion.

He maintains Cleveland's Jan. 3 home game against Jacksonville will be his last.

Lewis is disappointed with the Browns' 1-7 record, but said his decision has nothing to do with their struggles. He also doesn't worry if his statistics are Hall of Fame worthy.

Lewis has rushed for 10,456 yards, ranking him 21st on the career list.
