Diamondbacks' Hudson has MRI on hamstring
08:10 AM MST on Wednesday, May 7, 2008
PHOENIX (AP) -- Arizona second baseman Orlando Hudson had an MRI on his sore right hamstring and is out of the lineup tonight against Philadelphia.
The club didn't immediately release the results of the test, but manager Bob Melvin said he was optimistic the three-time Gold Glover wouldn't have to go on the disabled list.
Augie Ojeda replaced Hudson in the lineup. Hudson was removed in the seventh inning of an 11-4 loss to the Phillies on Monday night. He's hitting .274 with three home runs and 17 RBIs.
Hudson missed the last month of the 2007 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left hand.
