SEDONA - Sedona is known by many as a vacation spot with breathtaking red rocks, lots of hiking and watering holes and a place encouraging to artists.
The city has a solid reputation as an artists’ haven. Sedona has lots to offer visitors ranging from a wealth of leisurely hiking trails to long, challenging backpacking hikes.
There is also a New Age spirit that attracts people who come to the area for the various celebrated vortexes and mystical sources of energy.
Red Rock Crossing is one of the state's most photographed landscapes, where these sandstone cliffs are reflected in the waters of Oak Creek below.
In addition to the many eclectic shops, there is a variety of world-class resorts, but you also have the option of staying in a log cabin or camp at a campground.
The Mogollon Rim towers above Sedona's Oak Creek Canyon which has the first officially designated scenic route running through it.
Sedona offers visitors a variety of experiences from little shops, restaurants and art galleries to hiking, horseback and dirt road trails.
